Whistler
Whistler, British Columbia, Canada's top resort town in the Canadian Coast Mountains is located about 125 km north of the city of Vancouver. Over two million people visit Whistler each year primarily for its world-famous alpine skiing and mountain biking at Whistler-Blackcomb but also to visit the pedestrian village which has won numerous design awards.
Whistler has been voted among the top destinations in North America by major ski magazines for the past 15 years.
In 2010, Whistler is the host of the 2010 Winter Olympics February 12 to 28, 2010 and will the location of alpine and sledding events.

Every spring Whistler hosts the colourful Annual Whistler Children's Art Festival. Activities include kite making, fish-print t-shirts, stage fighting, magic, painting, photography and more.
Skiing is a major attract of Whistler. The village is located between the two peaks of Whistler Mountain and Blackcomb Mountain. These two mountains produce a year-round selection of leisure opportunities that would be hard to surpass anywhere. During the winter, skiing is the primary attraction, but don't think of Whistler as only a winter location. During the summer the activities include great hiking, swimming, sunbathing on lakeside beaches, cycling or just taking a gondola or chair lift up the mountains to admire the magnificent view.
